Future of HoboWiki
It seems, some people seem to think their gang is notable enough to deserve a page in the tutorial. I disagree. Until I came here, I didn't even know they existed. As well, the full extent of their article is a member's list. No gang history. Nothing. I'd like to lay down some ground rules that everyone can agree upon, so that we don't have to deal with the mess of noobs making pages about useless information.
So, here's my idea for the HoboWiki Ten Commandments:
- 1. Pages are not to be signed with the writer's name.
- Ex: Every noob page.
- 2. Think! If half the game does not care for your topic, don't write about it.
- Ex: Every noob page.
- 3. Gangs, unless having a influential effect on our history, should not be written about.
- Point: Edge of the Earth, and various noob gangs. Counterpoint: Genesis, or various other gangs responsible for the audit.
- 4. Lists are not appreciated. Ever.
- Unless the list has a distinct point, such as marking a history.
Furthermore, I believe subsections should be established, separating various sections. For example, all tutorial pages can go under Tutorial/ArticleName, historical articles can go under Historical/ArticleName and so on. It would be helpful. I think the first order is probably just expansion. There may not be too much to write about, but I'm sure we haven't documented some things. I'm always pushing for history, but we are lacking the old timers now and my memory isn't quite what it used to be.
P.S. I was considering, maybe we should put up old newspaper articles? I don't know if the old papers are available through the game, but I figure that would be a nice archive to have around.
There is no Audit article even though there are several links to such topic. It would be nice to see someone create one in the near future.
I would like to add that players should not make pages about themselves or other Hobos. You and other people are not relevant to the tutorial and are not going to help new players understand the game any better.
As a note, userpages are not considered to be part of a wiki and are not visible except through links, namely those on the frontpage. I wouldn't worry too much.

Images on HoboWiki
Keep all the unnecessary images off of the HoboWiki. All they do is take up space & screw with uniformity of the pages. If people want to see the images, they can look at the them in the actual game. The only needed images, are ones helping to explain aspects of the game & the character selection images for ease of use.
