Rev: "Like most good ideas, I came up with it while I was dropping a deuce. Yeah, poopin. My wife had left her copy of People magazine in the bathroom, and feeling like I was in this one for the long haul, I needed some reading material. I started to leaf through, and it was the "Best and Worst of 2005" issue. The wheels started to turn, and once I had finished doing my business I hopped on the computer and bounced the idea off of my muse, Yuk. He immediately liked the idea, and we kicked around some ideas for categories before I headed to the F&G board to post up the first annual Bummy Award nomination thread."

2005 Bummys
This inaugural year of the Bummys was run by Rev. RP McMurphy was awarded the esteemed title of Hobo of the Year, as noted in Hobo Weekly Issue 7. No other information is available about this year's winners or rules, however it is assumed that the rules were the same as the 2006 Bummys rules.
