HoboWars1 Staff

Governors:
Governors are the game's elite staff, responsible for maintaining and producing code.

Ministers:
Ministers are the second step of staff and have control over game accounts. As such, they exist outside the game mechanics. Because of their ability to view stats and such, they cannot play the game.

Quite similar to secretaries, except they have the power to jail.

Secretaries:
Secretaries are responsible for board activities. They have no control outside such and should not be harassed. For all intents, they are equal to standard users, outside their moderation responsibilities.

Artists:
Artists draw pictures for the Adventures and such.

Testers:
Testers have the ability to test out unreleased game features and mechanics, report their findings, and discuss potential problems. Other than that, they are regular players. Testers have asked to remain anonymous to the HoboWars community, and thus their title has been hidden from public view. However, in Chat and on Gang Boards, Testers have the title "Editor", and their name is a boldfaced, black color. There are currently nine Testers on HoboWars1, two of which who are Secretaries.


Wiki Editors:
Wiki Editors have the privilege of editing the HoboWars Help Wiki and have access to a special Message Board to help them coordinate their editing efforts. Other than that, they are regular players. Their title is hidden from public view and does not have a special color or style associated with it.

    • Stepped down on April 1st, 2008. Initially thought of as an April Fool's joke, it ended up just the opposite.
  • Hexcon
    • Previously HoboID 4. He was demoted to a Secretary as he was accused of selling stats for money. He later resigned from his Secretary position but regained it over a year later; however, he has been destaffed for inactivity and is now deleted.
  • Demon
    • Served as a Minister at the opening of the game. He resigned because he was too busy working on his own game and has since been long deleted.
  • Stinky Steve
    • Some consider him the greatest staff member ever. Steve decided to pursue life goals, rather than continue on HoboWars. When his deletion finally came it was an emotional event for all who knew Steve.

  • Kate (a.k.a. Blondie)
    • Almost as mysterious as Ruiner himself. She played a large part in HoboWars and has retained the status as a Secretary as a tribute to all she has done for HoboWars. Kate was also a Coder on Andy's other Game Critticage for over a year, but has since stepped down (and destaffed at her own request) to pursue real life matters, she is much missed on both games. She is still periodically active.

Former Secretaries:

    • Ex-leader of [CrAzY]. Quit Hobowars to run his own game, TornCity.
  • Rev VC
    • Secretary until a loss of a family member opened his eyes to his life and he decided to put his time towards better things. He made his official announcement in early April 2007, and was destaffed on April 8th, 2007. He was possibly one of the best Secretaries in Hobowars.
  • Alex DeLarge
    • Known mostly as "Alex" he was possibly the youngest staff member ever on HoboWars. As a mere teenager Alex was promoted to Secretary. After a while he soon lost interest and quit HoboWars. He has since returned.
  • Chameleon
    • A secretary a long time ago, she was destaffed/deleted for inactivity.
  • Charlney
    • Made infamous for hacking up his toes on webcam. He has since been destaffed/deleted due to inactivity.
  • Gigz
    • Resigned to become a pilot. He has since been deleted.
  • Ali G
    • He was deleted/destaffed due to inactivity.
  • Willy
    • Past friend/aquaintance of Malord. Destaffed due to inactivity.
  • Kate
    • Resigned on November 27th, 2007, for personal reasons.

    • Went MIA around the end of December 2009, and was destaffed April 2010 due to inactivity.

Editors helped create pages for and organize the Hobo Newspaper in the past. Since the newspaper has been discontinued and is no longer in production, Editors no longer have their titles. Today, the Editor title is currently being used by the Testers.

    • Originally an account created by the game admin to be used to collect articles from the editors. Other editors have since taken over the duties and The Editor is no longer used.

    • An Editor from issues 1 through 8. He became busy with real life and was no longer interested in writing for the paper.

    • Demoted due to inactivity and account sabotage during 8/11/11 hacking's on HW2.

    • Long time Minister and Governor, Gerta was always the nice friendly face in Government House. But due to crazy high Donator Pack prices off market, none on the market and a great number of active player denial to donate to the game due to Andy's neglect, she took it upon herself to create a fix. Account (78923) called "Dpacks" was it. Players sent the sum of 10 million to the account and a mail to Gerta stating so in exchange for 31 donator days to be activated on their accounts. Andy eventually caught on and Gerta was demoted and account wiped to default, minus battle record and respect.

    • Known for deleting account towards the end of his stint as minister.

    • Had enough of doing a thankless job and resigned.

    • The only VM across the game to have two accounts promoted to vice minister. Despite his first account being jailed for an exploring script, in his second time around he was lucky enough to have his stats reinstated by Gerta and later reappointed. He was again a very active staff member and was always working towards having HW2 updated and maintained. Although in Andy's absence he was involved in Gerta's "DPack program" and his account was wiped to default, minus respect and battle record.

    • Demoted due to long stints of inactivity.
  • Vixen (30447)
    • Quit the game due to sickness, only months later sadly passing away.

    • Possibly one of the softest demotions of time, POo was demoted by Andy for moving his "HoboArena (beta)" thread to Non Hobowar's Talk... Twice.
  • Dean or Usrhlp (6853)
    • Banned by Ode, reason "Welcome to Marco Polo v2.0". Caught using healing scripts after f5 healing was outlawed.
  • TRV (25318)
    • Demoted due to being involved in "DPack program".
  • Pit (79215)
    • Runner of forum games such as "Spladow" and "Easter Egg Hunt" to encourage board activity. Demoted due to stints of inactivity.
