Macro points were introduced into the game to stop players using macros and scripts to do the work for them. To stop this, a "Routine Check" page was introduced. This page appears every so often when you go to the schools, Suicide Hill, Corner 7/11 and other similar areas.
On the first version of this page there was a randomly generated picture telling you to click a number from 1 - 25 on the grid below. If you left the page without clicking anything then you lost two macro points. If you clicked on the incorrect number you lost four macro points and had to click on a new number. However, if you did manage to click the correct number, you proceeded to the next page and gain ten macro points.
A second version of the Macro Check gate was introduced, replacing the random number with a picture of of equipment found in the game. Below is a grid of random pieces of equipment, upon which the player must select the corresponding image to what is displayed above.
Your macro points can go up to a maximum of 30 and go down to a minimum of 0 points. If you reach 0 points you are automatically jailed by the system for two days.
Macro Picture Problems
If you are unable to see the macro picture, then you should try the following steps:
- Make sure your browser is allowing images and your firewall isn't blocking them. If everything seems fine and it still isn't showing, go on to step 3.
- It's possible that there could be an error in your computer's registry which is stopping your browser(s) from reading the correct image headers when the image is formed with php. Try downloading and running WinSock XP.
