Reset is a game refresh that occurs twice daily at 12:00 AM and 12:00 PM, GMT+10 (AEST) on all of the main versions (HoboWars, HoboWars2, and Facebook HoboWars). On HoboArena, the clock is set to GMT-6 (CST), but resets still occur at 12:00 AM and 12:00 PM; however because of the timezone difference, the clock will be different by 16 hours. HoboWars time is not affected by daylight savings time, meaning that those that do observe it will see their reset times change one hour back and forth. During each reset, the game locks out players for 5 minutes (as of 8/03/22). This is to allow everything to be updated without lag or error. The lockout occurs during both AM & PM from 11:59 to 12:04 HoboWars time.


HoboWars time:

Major reset occurs at 12:00AM (midnight)

Minor reset occurs at 12:00PM (noon)


What Happens At Each Reset

Every version is made a little differently than others. This table shows all changes, whether that feature is available on your version or not. Any item that does not apply to a particular version will be called out.

Every Saturday, Side Wars signups are closed. Every Sunday, Ultimate Fisty Cuffs signups are closed.
Every Monday, Side Wars is resolved. Every Thursday, Ultimate Fisty Cuffs is resolved.
Every fourth Monday, all players are randomly assigned a new side. One hour after reset, ending Lottos are drawn.
Donator Days are reduced by 1 The daily Respect tax happens.
