What is HoboWars?

HoboWars is a role-playing game where you play as a hobo and compete against thousands of players from around the world. It is played directly from your browser and is totally free. You can fight other hobos, train, join a gang, race in your very own shopping cart, own and train rats, beg for money, complete fun adventures, and heaps more!

What does it cost?

It's free! You can buy "points" and "Donator Packs" using real money, but that is completely optional. All game areas are accessible to all players, regardless of whether or not they choose to spend real money on the game.

Who owns HoboWars?

HoboWars is owned, developed, and managed by HellBored Entertainment, an Australian company (ACN 111 157 852).

For New Players

Welcome! If you are just starting out, please read the Beginner's Guide. It should answer most of your questions. Also, make sure you take a look at the Rules.

Helping Out

If you wish to contribute to the HoboWars Help Wiki, please contact Doctor Know in-game on any version. If your account is at least a year old, and you are an active player and a trustworthy member of the community, you will be given a few questions to answer. Your replies to those questions will be evaluated, and, if we think that you will be a good addition to the Wiki Editor team, you will be set up with a HoboWars Help Wiki account!

Doody, burnEy, Wanker, and I were granted administrator status today, which now allows us to more easily manage, maintain, and update the HoboWars Help Wiki! Also, there are plans in the works to give those with the slightest interest in helping us contribute, edit, and update the HoboWars Help Wiki the chance to finally do so! We just need to tidy up some things, protect some important pages, and establish some editing standards first. In the meantime, feel free to contact me in-game on any version if you are interested in helping us out! In order to be considered, you must have an account on any version of HoboWars, have played on that account actively for at least a year (and still play on it), and be a trustworthy member of the community. That's it!

Oh hey, it's been more than a year since some sort of announcement was posted on here.

Anywho... I'm currently interested in compiling a Game History article that would detail the significant game updates, game events, and community events of each HoboWars version, but I need help gathering information. Well, I took this main page layout from another wiki site and applied it here. Please let me know what you think about it. If it doesn't work out, we can always revert the main page back to its previous layout. Also, I know that the list to the right is a little long, but don't worry; I plan on condensing it later.
